My commute is very short these days, but the “left turn from a middle lane because they don’t want to wait for a turn arrow” and “keep turning left long after the light goes red” are both quite common (same turn for both, probably means they need to re-time the light, or make there be two turn lanes).

Ugh, the early straight from the right turn lane...
My exit from the highway is two lanes. The left lane can turn left only and the right lane can turn left, go straight, or turn right. I usually turn left from the right lane and around 50% of the time, the person to my left is trying to go straight. I wish they’d put the lane signs farther back or something.

Jeez. I have a route home with one of those two-left-turn-lane situations, plus bonus merging right-turn lane from the opposite direction, followed by a highway on-ramp almost immediately to the right of the turned-on street. Never fails that some fool (or several really) want to get into the faaaaaar left hand turn lane, zoom through the intersection and cut right two lanes across the cars turning left and staying in their own damned lane AND the poor bastards trying to merge from the right. All because they think, “oh, this line is shorter so I can just run in front of everyone else because they’re stupid enough to wait their turn.”
